South Korea's Kang "Saint" Seong-in played a starring role as LYON beat Team Liquid 3-1 on Friday in the lower-bracket semifinal of the League Championship Series 2026 Lock-In at Los Angeles.

LYON advance to oppose Sentinels in the lower-bracket final on Saturday. The winner of that contest will square off with Cloud9 in the grand final on Sunday.

Following the eight-team Swiss stage in the League of Legends event, six teams competed in the double-elimination playoffs, with all matches best-of-five. The overall winner qualifies for the First Stand Tournament, while the second- and third-place teams will head to the Americas Cup.

Both of the latter two events will be contested in Sao Paulo.

On Friday, LYON opened with a 37-minute win on red before Team Liquid equalized in 33 minutes on red. LYON then sealed the match by prevailing in 28 minutes on red and 35 minutes on blue.

Saint compiled a 14-6-22 kill-death-assist ratio for LYON. The United States' Sean "Yeon" Sung wound up at 12-7-6 for Team Liquid.
